Brownies

Ingredients:

200g Finely chopped walnuts
225g Butter
200g Dark chocolate (70%)
250g Cane sugar
40g Flour
2 Vanilla sugar
4 Eggs
Zest of 1 organic orange
1 Pinch of salt

Before the beginning:


Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Butter a baking tray (i.e. 28x30 cm), line with baking paper.
  3. Place the chocolate and the butter in a medium heat-resistant bowl, over a saucepan of simmering water and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Remove the bowl from the heat and let it cold down.
  5. In a separated bowl, combine the chopped walnuts with flour and salt.
  6. In the chocolate-butter-bowl, add the sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest and stir well for 1 minute with an electric beaters.
  7. Add in the eggs and stir for more 2 minutes.
  8. Incorporate the walnut-mixture and blend with a large spoon.
  9. Pour batter into prepared baking tray and smooth the surface.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes and check, if a knife inserted into center comes out clean.
  11. Remove from oven and cool completely in the baking tray.
  12. Cut into pieces and serve.
